Al-Muddaththir

வசனம் : 1

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُدَّثِّرُ

1. O you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) enveloped in garments!

வசனம் : 2

قُمۡ فَأَنذِرۡ

2. Arise and warn!

வசனம் : 3

وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرۡ

3. And magnify your Lord (Allâh)!

வசனம் : 4

وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرۡ

4. And purify your garments!

வசனம் : 5

وَٱلرُّجۡزَ فَٱهۡجُرۡ

5. And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)!

வசனம் : 6

وَلَا تَمۡنُن تَسۡتَكۡثِرُ

6. And give not a thing in order to have more (or consider not your deeds of obedience to Allâh as a favour to Him).

வசனம் : 7

وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصۡبِرۡ

7. And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allâh)!

வசனம் : 8

فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي ٱلنَّاقُورِ

8. Then, when the Trumpet is sounded (i.e. the second blowing of the horn).

வசனம் : 9

فَذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَوۡمٌ عَسِيرٌ

9. Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day -

வசனம் : 10

عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ غَيۡرُ يَسِيرٖ

10. Far from easy for the disbelievers.

வசனம் : 11

ذَرۡنِي وَمَنۡ خَلَقۡتُ وَحِيدٗا

11. Leave Me Alone (to deal) with whom I created lonely (without any wealth or children etc, i.e. Al-Walîd bin Al-Mughîrah Al-Makhzûmî)!

வசனம் : 12

وَجَعَلۡتُ لَهُۥ مَالٗا مَّمۡدُودٗا

12. And then granted him resources in abundance.

வசனம் : 13

وَبَنِينَ شُهُودٗا

13. And children to be by his side.

வசனம் : 14

وَمَهَّدتُّ لَهُۥ تَمۡهِيدٗا

14. And made life smooth and comfortable for him.

வசனம் : 15

ثُمَّ يَطۡمَعُ أَنۡ أَزِيدَ

15. After all that he desires that I should give more;

வசனம் : 16

كَلَّآۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لِأٓيَٰتِنَا عَنِيدٗا

16. Nay! Verily, he has been opposing Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations).

வசனம் : 17

سَأُرۡهِقُهُۥ صَعُودًا

17. I shall oblige him to (climb a slippery mountain in the Hell-fire called As-Sa‘ûd, or) face a severe torment!

வசனம் : 18

إِنَّهُۥ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ

18. Verily, he thought and plotted.

வசனம் : 19

فَقُتِلَ كَيۡفَ قَدَّرَ

19. So let him be cursed: how he plotted!

வசனம் : 20

ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيۡفَ قَدَّرَ

20. And once more let him be cursed: how he plotted!

வசனம் : 21

ثُمَّ نَظَرَ

21. Then he thought.

வசனம் : 22

ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ

22. Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way;

வசனம் : 23

ثُمَّ أَدۡبَرَ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ

23. Then he turned back, and was proud.

வசனம் : 24

فَقَالَ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ يُؤۡثَرُ

24. Then he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old,

வசனம் : 25

إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا قَوۡلُ ٱلۡبَشَرِ

25. "This is nothing but the word of a human being!"

வசனம் : 26

سَأُصۡلِيهِ سَقَرَ

26. I will cast him into Hell-fire.[1]

வசனம் : 27

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا سَقَرُ

27. And what will make you know (exactly) what Hell-fire is?

வசனம் : 28

لَا تُبۡقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ

28. It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)!

வசனம் : 29

لَوَّاحَةٞ لِّلۡبَشَرِ

29. Burning and blackening the skins!

வசனம் : 30

عَلَيۡهَا تِسۡعَةَ عَشَرَ

30. Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell).

வசனம் : 31

وَمَا جَعَلۡنَآ أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلنَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَٰٓئِكَةٗۖ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا عِدَّتَهُمۡ إِلَّا فِتۡنَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِيَسۡتَيۡقِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَيَزۡدَادَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِيمَٰنٗا وَلَا يَرۡتَابَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٞ وَٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡبَشَرِ

31. And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire. And We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Qur’ân is the truth as it agrees with their Books regarding the number (19) which is written in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and that the believers may increase in Faith (as this Qur’ân is the truth), and that no doubt may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allâh intends by this (curious) example ?" Thus Allâh leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind.

வசனம் : 32

كَلَّا وَٱلۡقَمَرِ

32. Nay! And by the moon

வசனம் : 33

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذۡ أَدۡبَرَ

33. And by the night when it withdraws.

வசனம் : 34

وَٱلصُّبۡحِ إِذَآ أَسۡفَرَ

34. And by the dawn when it brightens.

வசனம் : 35

إِنَّهَا لَإِحۡدَى ٱلۡكُبَرِ

35. Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest (signs).

வசனம் : 36

نَذِيرٗا لِّلۡبَشَرِ

36. A warning to mankind -

வசனம் : 37

لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمۡ أَن يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوۡ يَتَأَخَّرَ

37. To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by committing sins).

வசனம் : 38

كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ رَهِينَةٌ

38. Every person is a pledge for what he has earned,

வசனம் : 39

إِلَّآ أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلۡيَمِينِ

39. Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islâmic Monotheism).

வசனம் : 40

فِي جَنَّٰتٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

40. In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another,

வசனம் : 41

عَنِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

41. About Al-Mujrimûn (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers), (And they will say to them):

வசனம் : 42

مَا سَلَكَكُمۡ فِي سَقَرَ

42. "What has caused you to enter Hell?"

வசனம் : 43

قَالُواْ لَمۡ نَكُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُصَلِّينَ

43. They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer the Salât (prayers),[2]

வசனம் : 44

وَلَمۡ نَكُ نُطۡعِمُ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينَ

44. "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskîn (the poor);

வசனம் : 45

وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ ٱلۡخَآئِضِينَ

45. "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allâh hated) with vain talkers.[3]

வசனம் : 46

وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

46. And we used to belie the Day of Recompense,[4]

(V.74:46) See the footnotes of (V.3:85).

வசனம் : 47

حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰنَا ٱلۡيَقِينُ

47. "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain."

வசனம் : 48

فَمَا تَنفَعُهُمۡ شَفَٰعَةُ ٱلشَّٰفِعِينَ

48. So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them.

வசனம் : 49

فَمَا لَهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلتَّذۡكِرَةِ مُعۡرِضِينَ

49. Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the polytheists, the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition?

வசனம் : 50

كَأَنَّهُمۡ حُمُرٞ مُّسۡتَنفِرَةٞ

50. As if they were (frightened) wild donkeys.

வசனம் : 51

فَرَّتۡ مِن قَسۡوَرَةِۭ

51. Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey.

வசனம் : 52

بَلۡ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَن يُؤۡتَىٰ صُحُفٗا مُّنَشَّرَةٗ

52. Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allâh with a writing that Islâm is the right religion, and Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم has come with the truth from Allâh, the Lord of the heavens and earth).

வசனம் : 53

كَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا يَخَافُونَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ

53. Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allâh’s punishment).

வசனம் : 54

كَلَّآ إِنَّهُۥ تَذۡكِرَةٞ

54. Nay, verily, this (Qur’an) is an admonition,

வசனம் : 55

فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ

55. So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)!

வசனம் : 56

وَمَا يَذۡكُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ هُوَ أَهۡلُ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ وَأَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِ

56. And they will not receive admonition unless Allâh wills; He (Allâh) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilâh (god) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins).
